Hello!
I'm Zeldy Schwei,
...a mom of two and a sewing enthusiast hailing from London, UK. Sewing isn't just a hobby for me—it's a passion I love sharing with both children and adults alike. With over a decade of experience under my belt, sewing has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember.
My Journey with
sewing began early on.
Watching my mother skilfully mend our clothes and craft our Purim costumes. Those moments sparked a fascination that only grew stronger over the years. From school sewing classes to after-school sessions, I eagerly soaked up every bit of knowledge and technique I could.
After pursuing advanced sewing classes post-seminary and relocating to New York after marriage, I found myself with newfound time on my hands. This led me to offer alteration services in the evenings, where I quickly noticed a growing demand for sewing instruction.
It wasn't long before I realized that teaching sewing was where my heart truly lay. Faced with the balancing act of motherhood, I decided to start giving sewing classes to girls aged eight and above. Seeing the joy on their faces as they learn to hand sew, operate a sewing machine, and create beautiful projects fills me with immense pride.
It's incredibly rewarding to witness my students master the art of sewing and unleash their creativity.
Each class is a journey of discovery and accomplishment, and I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of it.
